Rappahannock and Clarke Counties have a strong tradition of conservation in protecting our beautiful countryside and I am pleased to be able to work with these communities in my new role at PEC.
Don joined PEC in February 2006. He is working on his Masters Degree in Environmental Management from Antioch New England Graduate School, and will be located in PEC's Rappahannock Office in Sperryville. Don has an undergraduate degree in Recreation Management and Administration from Appalachian State University. He has held a number of positions with the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Estuarine Research Reserve. While enrolled in graduate studies he designed a GIS based priority system for conservation projects, designed smart-growth workbooks to help guide a multi-stakeholder visioning process for a 26 community region, and worked with a local land trust on outreach and stewardship.
Don and Christine, his wife, live on the family farm in Amissville. While not working he enjoys time outside hiking, kayaking and raising his own food.
